Dupree Hart: Life as an Athlete

If you don't know why a helicopter landed at Northwestern recently it's because of an athlete named Dupree Hart. He won athlete of the year and has went to all-state 3 years in baseball. Hart was born on November 7th, 1998. Hart started playing football when he was 7 years old, playing pee-wee at Sunset Park Elementary. A lot of practice and hard work led Hart to where he is today. Hart would describe his schedule as very busy. Hart spends 20 hours a week on football, has a job at the YMCA in Rock Hill, South Carolina and still finds time to hang out with his friends.

Hart has 317 catches and 92 touchdowns in his football career. Hart's favorite thing about football is making friends. "My team is competitive and funny," stated Hart. Hart's favorite coach is coach Richardson because he's funny. They often make jokes about each other's hair. Hart's favorite game to play in was versus Byrnes in 2013 and his best football memory was winning state in 2013. This was a victorious year for the Northwestern Trojans.

You probably thought that Hart is continuing his football career on to college, but no. Hart has decided to play baseball for the College of Charleston after high school. He plays for the Trojans currently and it is where his heart is. Going to all-state for 3 years is a great achievement. Something else people don't know about Hart is that he plays the piano! Where is all this inspiration coming from? Hart said that his parents are his biggest supporters in life and he wouldn't be where he is today without them.
